Two man Handicaped Best Ball

Each Teammate plays their own ball with individual handicaps, then the team records the best score between the two teammates. The player with the lowest handicap will not receive any strokes, the other players will receive the difference in strokes. Match play for one point for the night.

Scramble

  • Golfer A has the lowest handicap on the team
  • Then take 35-percent of Golfer A's handicap;
  • and add it to 15-percent of Golfer B's handicap.

Where Golfer A is the lower-handicapped player on the team and Golfer B the higher-handicapped. Let's do an example. Say Golfer A's handicap is 8 and Golfer B's is 21. Thirty-five percent of 8 is 2.8; 15 percent of 21 is 3.15. So add 2.8 and 3.15 to get 5.95, and this team's scramble handicap is 6 (round up or down to the nearest whole number).

The team with the lowest handicap will not receive any strokes, the other team will receive the difference in strokes.
Match play for one point for the night.

Hybrid Alternate Shot
  • Each player tees off on every hole and the teammates decide which shot to use, the guy that did not hit the chosen shot takes the next shot and alternate until the hole is completed.
  • The handicap is determined by the total handicap of the two teammates then the two total handicaps are subtracted from each other and the difference is divided by 2. This number is rounded to the nearest hole number.
Example: Team A golfer 1’s hcp.= 10, golfer 2’s hcp.= 5 their total team handicap is 15. Team B golfer 1’s hcp.= 4, golfer 2’s hcp.= 6. Team A hcp divided by 2 team A =7 1/2 , Team B = 5. Difference in team handicaps is 2 1/2 rounded off to 3 strokes. The team with the lowest handicap average will not receive any strokes and the other team receives the 3 in strokes.
